Community Groups

The history of community development groups in Ogidi started with the inauguration of Ogidi  Students Union in the early 60s made up of the first breed of university students. This was immediately followed by the establishment of Ogidi Development Union (ODU) with affiliated branches in major cities in Nigeria such as Kaduna, Kano, Lagos, etc. Today, ODU has branches in most cities across Nigeria and in the United Kingdom. 

 

Ogidi-ela Forum (OEF), a vibrant online chat room,  is a recent addition to the community development effort. Operating under Whatapps platform,  OEF has managed to introduce a totally new way of mobilising the elite class of the community to rise up in support of urgent and major community projects. Following on from the huge success achieved by members of OEF, Ogidi-ela NGO was bor

 

Ogidi -ela Forum also has two other sister groups, namely  Ogidi-ela Political Forum, (OEPF) and Ogidi for Christ (OfC).
